A Year of Progress: HOAI’s 2024 Highlights
The Highway Operators Association of India (HOAI) continued its mission of promoting safe, efficient, and world-class highways in 2024. Key highlights of the year include:
Innovation and Safety:
HOAI organized the Project Lifeguard Safety Challenge, a nationwide competition for management students to develop innovative solutions for improving road safety. This initiative fostered a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the industry.
Industry Insights and Best Practices:
A seminar on Insurance & Risk Management Strategies was conducted in collaboration with Aon, providing valuable insights to HOAI members on mitigating risks and optimizing insurance coverage.
Addressing Industry Challenges:
A dedicated webinar was organized to address the pressing issues faced by highway operators, fostering open dialogue and knowledge sharing among industry peers.
Technological Advancements:
HOAI members showcased cutting-edge innovations, including modified patrol vehicles, advanced life support ambulances, and emergency management software, aimed at enhancing road safety and operational efficiency.
Advocacy and Policy Influence:
HOAI actively engaged with NHAI, MoRTH, and other relevant authorities to advocate for the industry’s needs and promote policies that enhance road infrastructure and safety.
Collaboration for Pedestrian Safety:
HOAI partnered with NHAI to organize a hackathon focused on pedestrian safety, encouraging innovative solutions to improve pedestrian infrastructure and reduce accidents.
Through these initiatives, HOAI solidified its position as a leading voice in the highway industry, driving progress and contributing to the development of safer and more efficient road networks across India.
